Magic Tiles was inspired by a New Hampshire friend's set of blocks I saw in December of 1992 and a technique in the Singer (Sewing Reference Library) book, Quilt Projects by Machine (1992). It has become an enjoyable quilt technique to share in a classroom setting. In Japan it was the quilt chosen for the invitations to my exhibit, "The World of Kathleen Bissett". In 1995 a pattern for Magic Tiles was published and is still popular and available for both retail and wholesale.
